Kingspan Light, Air + Water Reports 2025 Sustainability Progress

Kingspan Light, Air + Water has published its 2025 divisional results under the Kingspan Group's Planet Passionate 2030 strategy, reporting progress on emissions, energy, waste and water. All comparisons are against a 2020 baseline.

The division reduced its reported CO2e emissions by 16.7% since 2020, driven by site-level measures including smart metering at its Gilford Road site in the UK and ISO 50001 energy-management certification at its Poznań site in Poland.

Renewable sources made up 29.5% of the division's total energy use in 2025. On-site energy generation reached 6.7 GWh, with renewable generation up 157% since 2020, supported by continued investment in solar PV — including a new installation at its Lake Forest site in North America. As of 2025, 74% of the division's own sites have solar PV.

Waste sent to landfill fell 82% versus 2020, dropping to 365 tonnes in 2025 from 2,038 tonnes in 2020. The division also used 4,269 tonnes of renewable and recycled raw materials in its products over the year.

In the Netherlands, it launched its first RECOVR takeback scheme, which recovers and recycles aluminium NSHEV and glass systems at end of life. It also added three products to its Lower Embodied Carbon range — Ecofil LEC, Ecofil Premium LEC and KILON LEC Solid Sheet — each verified by an independent Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) or French FDES declaration.

The division collected 2.6 million litres of rainwater during 2025 and has doubled its rainwater-harvesting capacity since 2020, bringing the total harvested since then to 12.7 million litres. This reduces reliance on mains water across its operations.

Through its partnership with the charity Just a Drop, the division has helped provide safe water and sanitation to more than 1,000 people in rural communities in Kenya. Employees across its sites also contributed to local environmental and community projects during the year.

The daylighting systems the division sold in 2025 produce an estimated 3.3 billion lumens of natural light per year. Its rainwater tanks are estimated to harvest around 39.8 billion litres of rainwater over their expected working life.
